You can use this cool simulator straight from BlackBerry to test/debug BlackBerry apps and to view them when they’re finished. Pretty cool, huh? In order to use this program, you’ll need to have VMware Player installed on your machine. VMware Player is a widely known program amongst tech professionals that allows you to easily run multiple operating systems at the same time.

Once you have installed VWware Player, simply download the BlackBerry 10 simulator and follow the on-screen instructions to install and run the program. Note that this is a rather large file. This particular version comes in at 741 MB, so be prepared for a lengthy download. You can also find versions for Mac and Linux from BlackBerry’s website. You can also use this same website to download simulators for tons of different BlackBerry smartphones, such as the Tour, Torch, Style, Storm, Storm 2, Pearl, Curve, Bold, + more.

BlackBerry PlayBook Simulator Windows

This is essentially the same thing as above, except this program is to simulate the popular PlayBook tablet from BlackBerry. You can even test/debug, and run your own apps with this program! Give it a try.

Like the BlackBerry phone simulator above, the BlackBerry PlayBook simulator requires you to have VMware Player. Once it’s installed, download the BlackBerry PlayBook simulator and following the on-screen instructions to install and run it.

The BlackBerry Playbook simulator only comes in at 262 MB for version 2.1. You can also find versions for Mac and Linux from BlackBerry’s website.
